The pro-immigration crowd has managed to slow down the opening of “Alligator Alcatraz” for 14 days by claiming the facility in the Florida swamp might somehow harm the environment.

It’s crazy talk, of course. But, in these divided times, you can get the right flavor of a federal court judge to entertain the idea that the moon is made of cheese if it means throwing a stumbling block in front of a President Donald Trump initiative.

Barack Obama appointed Judge Kathleen M. Williams is just the judge to do it.

She’s issued a temporary restraining order, saying that the state must stop installing any more lighting, paving, fencing, or other fixtures at the detention center so she can hear anti-Trump “environmental groups” make their case.

I expect the judge will drag this out as long as she can.

It’s the world we live in, I am sorry to point out.
