What in the world is Sen. Mark Kelly thinking
Arizona’s Mark Kelly shames himself and the position he holds as a U.S. Senator when he urges soldiers to defy “illegal” orders.
He and five other Democratic lawmakers said this:
“We know you are under enormous stress and pressure right now. Americans trust their military, but that trust is at risk. This administration is pitting our uniformed military and intelligence community professionals against American citizens like us. You all swore an oath to protect and defend this Constitution. Right now, the threats to our Constitution aren’t just coming from abroad, but from right here at home. Our laws are clear. You can refuse illegal orders…you must refuse illegal orders. No one has to carry out orders that violate the law or our constitution.”
While the context of defying “illegal” orders was left out, it’s widely assumed the six legislators were referring to military missions in the Caribbean, near Venezuela, in which boats allegedly carrying drugs were blown out of the water. Eighty-three people have been killed.
While it is true that under Joe Biden, the drug trade out of Venezuela was allowed to flourish with a wink-wink, nod-nod, President Donald Trump has decided to take a more aggressive approach, which is his right as the duly elected Commander-in-Chief. We no longer let the drug boats pass; we summarily blow ‘em up.
Sen. Kelly doesn’t like that, which is his right. But to take the extraordinary step of publicly urging the military to disobey “illegal” orders without specifically saying what those “illegal” orders are seems dangerous and cowardly.
The Administration seems to have its ducks in a row for striking these drug boats. But if you disagree, Sen. Kelly, speak plainly. Have the guts to tell the soldiers which orders to disobey?
Otherwise, this is a politically motivated bullshit move unbecoming of a U.S. Senator.
No other way to see it.

Kelly is a guy that has a facade built on his time and service as an astronaut, he's in reality an extremely self serving and indulgent A typical CRAT. He's heavily involved with Chinese investments and he's actively vying for a shot at occupying to oval office.
Having never been in the military I have no idea what they are taught in matters like this. But given that Kelly is an AZ Dem I have no doubt that anything he can do to hammer Trump and elevate himself in the eyes of his fellow libs “thy will be done”. I apologize for abusing that term by the way.
