Epic Epstein Fail
The Epstein files claim another victim and, wouldn't you know it, it's a prominent Democrat connected to both Clinton and Obama. More to come.
As widely predicted, the adage “Be careful what you wish for” has come back once again to bite the Democratic Party in the arse.
They hoped that by clamoring for the release of the “Epstein files,” they could lay a glove on President Donald Trump. But just like their failed attempt to gain leverage on the president by shutting down the government, the Epstein ploy backfired.
70-year-old Larry Summers, above, a leading Democrat in the current political landscape and former president of Harvard University, is all over a freshly released batch of emails.
And they are not pretty.
Mr. Summers and Epstein emailed each other frequently in 2017, 2018, and 2019 — including an exchange where the former Treasury secretary under Bill Clinton and economic advisor to Barack Obama sought advice from the convicted pedophile about a woman he was pursuing at the time.
There’s other stuff in there, too.
In one email string, Summers appears to joke about women being less intelligent than men. Epstein described himself as a “pretty good wing man.” In another exchange, Summers lamented that men who “hit on” women in the workplace may suffer career repercussions.
The DOJ has opened an investigation into both Summers and Clinton, in light of the new emails.
In a late-breaking development, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries was found to have actively solicited dinner and a contribution from Epstein after he was convicted. A top Democrat leader caught begging for money from a pedo?
Asked whether Jeffries should resign his post, Democrats displayed their usual moral bankruptcy and declined to answer.
We also learned that Rep. Stacey Plaskett (D-VI) inappropriately coordinated with Epstein via email during an official congressional hearing. She narrowly escaped censure last night, with three Republicans and all Democrats voting against it, proving once again that accountability is something Democrats only want if Trump is involved.
Otherwise, unambiguous sleazy behavior like that exhibited by Ms. Plaskett and Rep. Jeffries will be swept under the rug like it never happened.
Mr. Summers has announced he is stepping back from public commitments, saying he was “deeply ashamed” by the communications with Epstein. He initially said he wanted to still teach at the university.
But yesterday, Harvard University announced it is opening up a deeper investigation into Mr. Summers, who emailed Epstein hundreds of times and Summers said he’ll. not teach until the probe is completed.
And to Harvard’s embarrassment, it annoimced ot is also probing additional faculty ties to Jeffrey Epstein.
This will get icky, but as regular Properly Subversive readers know, we advocate for the full release of everything related to Epstein, if for no other reason than to get all the facts into the open so we can confirm or debunk the myriad of conspiracy theories spawned by the Epstein tales.
When it’s all out, we hope some honest journalist will be able to explain how a creep like Epstein could worm his way into the lives of so many so-called “leaders” and exist for so long in this modern world.
Right now, after the release of those 20,000 new emails, we’re finding that Epstein hated Donald Trump and he worked with Democrats against Trump.
Trump’s story about breaking it off with Epstein early on seems to hold. And the one guy caught talking sex with Epstein was a prominent Democrat and advisor to former President Bill Clinton and Barack Obama.
That’s an epic fail. Will Democrats and the mainstream media hound Mr. Summers like they would Donald Trump? Will they dig deeper into Obama’s inner circle?
The muted response to Summers, Plaskett, and Jeffries gives away the answer.
In Case You Missed It
Poll Favors Dems
A clear majority of voters would choose a Democrat candidate for Congress if the midterms were held today, a new poll shows. The PBS News/NPR/Marist survey, conducted between November 10 and 13, revealed that 55 percent of voters would elect a Democratic candidate. It’s the largest lead for the Democrats since November 2017. Read more here. — Newsweek
